Elon Musk has become Twitter's largest shareholder after acquiring 9.2% of its shares. This means he has a say on what changes can be made but he cannot decide on his own what changes will be made.
Elon put out multiple polls to his many millions of followers. The first of which was this tweet on March 25th, 2022 asking if people believed Twitter follows the principle of free speech.
The next poll had double the amount of votes. This time Elon asked if people wanted an edit button on Twitter.
Many comments point out that there are many other issues with Twitter that should be solved before even considering adding an edit button to Twitter. Hopefully, Elon is able to clean up the issues with Twitter. He has been outspoken about how the social media platform has focused on insignificant details for too long.
