OnlyFans Creative Fund Offers Creators $100,000
Subscription-based video and image sharing platform OnlyFans is working on ways to provide incentives for its diverse and multi-faceted creators.
In March 2022, the company launched a contest that will monetize the talents of fashion designers and stylists through their Creative Fund: Fashion Edition program. This was the program’s second event after OnlyFans funded music artists last year through the same fund.
Creators who are passionate about fashion are eligible to join the contest, with the mechanics requiring submissions of up to five designs and styles. Submissions concluded on March 21.
Among the entrants, six finalists will be chosen and transported to LA where the contest will be streamed on OnlyFans’ free streaming service, OFTV.
OnlyFans invested $100,000 as prize money for the winners. The talented first placer will receive $50,000, while the two runners-up will each receive $25,000.
With this fund, OnlyFans hopes to support more talented creators and to expand their influence in multiple industries.
OnlyFans has been the center of controversy by conservative groups due to the site’s occasional explicit content. While it has provided a platform for sex workers to earn, especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the company has made efforts in 2021 to limit such content but allowed it again.
Through its Creative Fund program, OnlyFans hopes for people to recognize that their brand is not just famous for explicit content but provides a platform for its creators to make a career out of their passion.
