Adapt or Die: Every Saas Company Needs a YouTube Strategy
Every SaaS company should be developing a YouTube strategy.
Having a YouTube channel is only going to support your business. Every time you hit the record button you are cloning your marketing team or support team and making your brand accessible 24/7.
Andrew Murdoch of YT Era shared some interesting findings with Matt Astifan on Good Morning Marketers recent episode Funnel Hacking but for YouTube Marketing about how software companies can thrive in today’s digital world using YouTube.
YT Era, Andrew’s agency, is a huge advocate of YouTube (in fact, YT Era is short for YouTube Era). For them, videos are the blood and life of any company that wants to be on the front line.
According to Andrew, “Videos convert! Stats will vary, but videos boost your trust factor in a big way. Most people have 85% more retention when information is shared via video versus over text. Think about the impact that you and your videos will have on your ideal client. If you aren’t using video marketing on the number 1 video platform today, you are giving business to your competition.”
Adapt or die. There is no other way.
Matt definitely agrees. “I feel like every one of this kind of software companies should be doing some sort of a Youtube strategy for how much they’re worth, how much money they have…”
According to Matt, companies should invest around 5k to 20k a month, depending on their size, to make themselves available and accessible on YouTube.
“Well, I think It’s a no-brainer for any brand, any business, any entrepreneur. I truly believe this. A YouTube channel is only going to support you because every time you hit the record button, you’re cloning yourself, and you’re making your brand accessible,” Andrew said.
Andrew gave this as an example: If you’re up at 2 am, and you’re having a problem with ABC, you’re not going to the company’s site or app to look for answers. You are going to YouTube!
“And it’s vital for your brand to exist where the fish are,” Andrew added.
So, what do you think? Other CRMs are enjoying bountiful catches.
Are you ready to cast your net?
If you are a software company and you're not on YouTube yet, you may missing a huge opportunity.
