‘Dropbox Shop’ Launches for Creators to Sell Digital Content
Dropbox Shop is providing content creators a platform to sell their digital creations and products.
Dropbox Inc., the parent company of the software that allows users to store, save, and sync their files from any device to the internet, announced in April that they have launched this newest platform.
With features similar to the self-publishing marketplace platform, Gumroad, Dropbox Shop offers a convenient way for content creators to have their products delivered automatically to their customers upon payment.
Products include files such as digital art, plug-ins, music, among others. Users can create product listings, establish their storefronts, and track their business’ performance through revenue details.
The platform also offers multiple payment options with their partnerships with PayPal and Stripe. Credit cards and Google Pay are among these options.
This company’s innovation comes at the height of the creator economy, an industry brought by the demand for digital products and experience in recent years.
Now in open beta, Dropbox Shop is currently available in the United States.
