How MrBeast Started YouTube at 12 Years Old

YouTube makes up about one third of the internet. In fact, over 1.9 billion people use YouTube every month.

One crushing reality of YouTube right now is that anyone of any age can get access to it, create content and make a huge amount of money.

Many creators from the music industry, media, entertainment to education are garnering monetary value by just posting their own contents on their YouTube channels.

One example is Mr. Beast.

Mr. Beast or Jimmy Donaldson is popularly known as a YouTube personality, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

He started his career on YouTube in 2012 at the age of 12 under the handle "MrBeast6000" and uploaded his first series of videos, focusing on contents like "Let's Plays" and videos estimating the wealth of other YouTubers.

In 2017, Mr. Beast went viral after his "counting to 100,000" video garnered thousands of views in just a few days. At the age of 15, he already gained 15,000 viewers.

Since then, he has become an increasingly popular content creator and has been gaining thousands of viewers from his survival challenges and donation videos that give thousands of dollars as rewards.

His first million-views started when he was just 17, just two years after his first series of videos caught the attention of thousands of netizens.

At the age of 23, he gained a massive amount of YouTube views, amounting to over 13 billion views.

Moreover, aside from his main YouTube channel "Mr. Beast," which has over 100 million subscribers, Mr. Beast is also managing several other YouTube channels, including MrBeast Gaming, Beast Reacts, MrBeast Shorts, and a MrBeast Philanthropy.

In 2022, he was tagged as one of the 10 highest-paid YouTubers.
